Sophia is home to one of the most famous churches in all of Europe, the Boyana church. This 14th-century church is a UNESCO site and well preserved. You also have the famous Amphitheater of Serdica as well as the famous city garden that dates back to 1872. Don’t forget to check out the ruins of ancient Serdika walls at Largo! While you’re at it, try some of the world famous food on the way. You will not be disappointed.

    Tsarevets Fortress
    The Tsarevets Fortress was once used as a defensive position for the Thracians and Romans. It’s location on Tsarevets Hill is one of the most famous places in all of Bulgaria. It hosts 18 churches, a royal palace, an execution rock, and 400 homes. The ground it sits on dates back historically to around the 5th century when Byzantines used it for their fortresses. This is truly a must see and do for history lovers!
