Bedford The Original Vauxhall Van Eclipses Rivals
Bedford has a rich history which started in 1931 with their bow-Bedford which in realty was an American Buick with English custom bodywork.
In 1975 they were making and selling 100,000 trucks a year, fast forward and in March 2012 they sold 2,494 vans to small businesses in just one month!
The success story has had its downs with Ford eclipsing them a few times but overall Bedford and Vaukhall have been the dominant force in the very competitive van market.
In these hard economic times one plus that has helped Vauxhall take lead position are its fuel efficient engines, coupled this with first classs retail support and you have a winning formula.
Vauxhall’s national commercial vehicles sales manager Richard Collier stated :
“I am very pleased we have maintained our number one position from last year into 2012. It goes to show that our market leading 4×4 offer of four years zero per cent finance, free servicing, warranty and AA cover has been a huge hit with our customers.
