Tsarevets Fortress
The Tsarevets Fortress was once used as a defensive position for the Thracians and Romans. It’s location on Tsarevets Hill is one of the most famous places in all of Bulgaria. It hosts 18 churches, a royal palace, an execution rock, and 400 homes. The ground it sits on dates back historically to around the 5th century when Byzantines used it for their fortresses. This is truly a must-see and do for history lovers!
