Do I need a Special Licence to rent a 12 seater passenger Van in the USA?

No special licence is required to rent a 12 or a 15 seater minivan. All vehicles offered for rent on MPV Rentals can be driven on a full driving licence.

What are the age requirements to drive a 15 or a 12 seater minivan?

This will vary from supplier to supplier, but in general most will impose an age limit of 25 or above for this category of vehicle. Whilst some stipulate a minimum age of 25 others will still rent to customer under 25, but will charge a young drivers surcharge. If you are a young driver, please make a quote and all or any restrictions will be made obvious.

Do I need an international driving license?

If your driving licence is in the Roman alphabet, you will not need an international licence. An IDP can be obtained cheaply and quickly from your local licensing authority

Can I rent a 12 seater minivan rental one-way?

One way rentals are available, but please note in some cases one way fees may be applicable. This will be clearly highlighted after you start the quote process. To check if one way fees apply, please make a booking inquiry.

How to reduce 12 passenger van rental cost in USA?

Weekly or 7 day rental : Most suppliers will offer a better rate for a weekly 12 seater booking, so if you only need car for 5 or 6 it will often work out cheaper took for 7 days and simply return the car early. Don't tell the rental company of your plan.
Avoid one way rentals : Return the car to the same pickup location, unless you are planning a cross-country one way rental. Most rentals with different pick and drop off locations will attract an additional one way fee.
Book Early : Unlike hotel bookings, leaving car rental to the last minute will normally be more expensive than had you booked early. In addition, the 12 seater van category always sells out quickly as in high demand and numbers on fleet are limited.
